Transformation is pretty easy, but there are a couple of steps that involve hinging and tabbing transparent plastic.
Deadlock is pretty kibbly, with tires on his forearms and legs, and shoulder pylons that are simply the halves of his bonnet. His hip skirts are just as annoying as those on the older Masterpiece Seekers, but they at least serve as holsters for his smaller rifles. Although his plentiful paint application is decently applied, it's marred by plastic flashing in various places. I do like his head sculpt, with his purple face. The red light-piping doesn't work very well.
His head is on a hinge and swivel. His shoulders and wrists are on hinged balljoints as are his side skirts. He has double-jointed elbows, but single-jointed knees. He swivels at the biceps and thighs, but not at the waist. His fists are static, with ports for his weapons. His hips are on balljoints. He has toe tilts, but no other articulation for his feet.
His accessories include a sniper rifle, two smaller rifles, and a sword. The three rifles are molded plastic with decent line work but no paint. The smaller rifles can join to the sniper rifle to form a triple barrel rifle with a bipod. The sword is molded from a single piece of soft plastic with red paint. I think the writing on the sword is "heaven - below - not have - twin" which translates to "No peer under heaven". My Chinese is very limited, and if it's supposed to be Japanese, then I'm probably completely off. He can hold all the accessories just fine. The sniper rifle can store under the car, but I couldn't find a place the sword. I'm not sure if there is room for the smaller rifles to store in the doors / side skirts.
Although Deadlock is comic book inspired, I will probably display him on my Transformers Prime shelf. His size and face sculpt doesn't seem too far off from the other figures in that line. This was definitely an impulse purchase. I don't feel so strongly about the figure, one way or the other, to want to track down his Drift mold mate.
